How it works
Getting started with a mobile OT
Whether NDIS, aged care, DVA or private, the admin can feel complicated. We handle the paperwork and explain the funding options in plain English so you can focus on the person, not the process.
01
Call us or request a callback
Phone (07) 3477 9366 or drop your details in the form. Our intake team usually responds within one business day. We'll ask about age, goals, funding and where you're based.
02
Matched with the right Occupational Therapist
We pair you with an AHPRA-registered OT experienced in your context: paediatric, adult, older adult, rehab or reports. You know who's coming, and why they're the right fit.
03
Mobile OT, we come to you
Your OT visits you at home, at school, at work or in the community. We build a personalised plan, document progress, and coordinate with your supports, GP or support coordinator.

Most requested
Functional Capacity Assessments (FCA)
Comprehensive OT-led reports capturing how you function day-to-day, written to NDIS standards for plan reviews, SIL, SDA and support coordination. Includes observations, standardised assessments and clear, evidence-based recommendations to support funding requests.
OT-led home environment assessments for safety, access and independence. Reports cover minor and complex home modifications, from rails and ramps to bathroom re-fits, including supplier coordination and NDIS-compliant documentation.
Prescription and trialling of wheelchairs, mobility aids, shower equipment, pressure care, beds, hoists and daily living aids. We write the AT report, source supplier quotes and follow through to delivery and review.
In-home, school-based or community OT for kids from toddlers through to teens. Sensory regulation, fine motor, handwriting, school readiness, daily living skills and parent coaching. We work alongside the whole support team.
OT for adults with disability, injury or chronic conditions. Return-to-work assessments, post-injury rehab, mental health OT, energy conservation, routine-building and re-learning daily skills at home or at work.
Short-form OT reports, progress reports for plan reviews, assistive technology recommendations, home modification evidence, cognitive assessments and workplace assessments, all written clearly, with funding bodies in mind.
NDIS funding: we support self-managed and plan-managed NDIS participants across all four states. No referral required. Agency-managed? Your support coordinator can help you explore the options with us.
Meet the team
The people behind every visit
Our Occupational Therapists are AHPRA-registered, supported by OT assistants, a psychologist, a speech pathologist and a warm admin team who'll be your first point of contact. Small enough to know your name, big enough to match you with someone whose experience fits your goals.

Transparent pricing
No surprises on your invoice
We can't list fixed prices publicly. What you pay depends on your funding stream, the service, and your location. But every Astrad client gets the same three things, in writing, before any visit is booked.
Every client gets a clear written quote setting out session rates, expected travel time and any reports, before we schedule a single visit.
Within NDIS price limits
For NDIS participants we bill within the limits set out in the current NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits. No surprises at invoice time.
Travel disclosed up front
Travel and non-face-to-face time are always quoted in writing, at the rates allowed for your funding stream. What you see is what you pay.
Coverage
Mobile OT across four states
Our Occupational Therapists travel to you. At home, at school, at work or in the community. We cover metro and many regional areas across Queensland, NSW, Victoria and Tasmania. Not sure if we reach your postcode? Ask us. We usually confirm within one business day.
Can't see your question? Call us and we'll answer it directly.
Who can access Astrad's Occupational Therapy services?
We work with children, adults and older people funded through self-managed or plan-managed NDIS, Home Care Packages (HCP), CHSP, DVA, and privately. If you're unsure what applies to you, give us a call. Our intake team will walk you through it.
Which NDIS participants can you support?
We work directly with self-managed and plan-managed NDIS participants, and no referral is needed. For agency-managed participants, your support coordinator can help you explore the options, including moving to plan-management or using a registered provider.
Do you really come to our home, school or workplace?
Yes. That's the whole point of a mobile OT service. We run assessments and therapy in the setting where the skill is actually used: at home for daily living, at school for handwriting or sensory support, at work for return-to-work planning, or in the community. No clinic, no wasted travel.
How soon can I see an Occupational Therapist?
Most new referrals are booked within two to four weeks, depending on region and clinical fit. We triage urgent referrals (hospital discharges, urgent equipment, safety-critical home mods) and will tell you up front if there's a wait in your area.
What qualifications do your OTs have?
All Occupational Therapists at Astrad are registered with AHPRA. Our clinicians hold current NDIS Worker Screening, First Aid, CPR and professional indemnity insurance. Specific experience (paediatric, hand therapy, mental health, complex home mods, AT) varies, and we match you based on what you need.
What kind of OT reports do you write?
Functional Capacity Assessments (FCAs), Assistive Technology assessments and reports, Home Modification reports (minor and complex), progress reports for NDIS plan reviews, cognitive assessments, return-to-work and workplace assessments, and letters of support. All written with the funding body in mind.
Can I request a specific therapist?
Where possible, yes. Tell our intake team about gender preference, language, cultural background and clinical experience you'd prefer. We'll match you with an OT who fits. If it's not working after the first session or two, we'll switch. No awkward conversation required.
How does pricing work?
For NDIS participants we bill within the limits set out in the current NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits. Aged care and DVA rates follow the relevant schedules. Private clients get a clear written quote before we schedule. Travel and non-face-to-face time are always disclosed in writing. No surprises.
